Kobil Ethiopia Limited (Plc)
About Kobil Ethiopia Limited (Plc) ...
We are by far Ethiopia´s fastest growing oil company. Having been set up in 2005, Kobil Ethiopia was and still remains first subsidiary of the KenolKobil Group to be established in the Northern part of the Africa. Since our set up we continue to flourish both in terms of marketing, infrastructure development and quality expansion in the market place.
Presence in Ethiopia gives a bird´s eye view to Djibouti (which port and country) is the artery for Ethiopia´s imports and exports. This strategic location in Ethiopia gives the Group the required platform and frontier for business expansion into the high potential Horn of Africa markets and further north.
The Ethiopia´s petroleum industry is experiencing rapid expansion due to a steady double digit national economic growth over the last several years. The business environment is also improving rapidly as the economic develops in leaps and bounds. Due to this we continue expanding as we contribute towards this expansion of the economic space.
As part of our growth we have successfully introduced K-gas brand of LPG in Ethiopia in the knowledge that it will help to mitigate deforestation as we convert consumers from firewood to LPG.
Kobil Ethiopia was established in 2005 and has 51 operational stations spread all over the country. In its acquisition of the Shell Ethiopia´s assets, we acquired a terminal in Addis Ababa with a storage capacity of 3,230 cubic meters.
Kobil Ethiopia plans to continue enhancing its businesses in other sectors including bitumen, lubricants and LPG.
